Our top projects, according to Pinterest

Pinterest is a design-lover’s dream. Users can browse the site according to their interests and collecting their own virtual bulletin boards of images, sourced from across the web.

Designers often use Pinterest to create mood boards or inspiration boards for projects or specific rooms. Recently, we noticed a few of our Sebastian projects popping up on Pinterest over and over.

Let’s take a look at Sebastian’s most pinned projects:

3. Strait Lane

Strait Lane is the only Philip Johnson-designed home in Dallas. (The mid-century modern beauty has also been used in a luxury real estate company’s ads, too.)

Originally built in the 1960s for Dallas construction company founder, Henry C. Beck of The Beck Companies, this modernist marvel was painstakingly remodeled between 2002-2008.

Dallas architects Bodron+Fruit and landscape architecture firm Reed Hilderbrand of Cambridge MA completely renewed the dilapidated structure and grounds, retaining the clean lines but recreating the space as a family-friendly home. Sebastian performed the construction.

2. Brazos Ranch

Brazos Ranch residence, a spectacular 400-acre property, crowned by a jewel of a home, was designed by San Antonio’s Ford, Powell & Carson. The spacious ranch house was carefully sited among century old live oak trees and overlooks the vast Brazos River Valley.

Reclaimed materials were used throughout the interior to the home. Reclaimed French limestone floors, antique oak beam trusses, and 17th century doors, combined with hand crafted items, give the residence a timeless feel.

1. Athens Farm

This is a runaway fan favorite on Pinterest. No other Sebastian project comes close to being pinned as many times as this Greek-revival-inspired farm house.

It’s popular in the media, too. The Athens, Texas weekend getaway was covered as the front page feature story in Dallas’ LUXE Interiors + Design Magazine and a Houzz tour.
