Texas Project Snags AIA Honor Award

This week, the American Institute of Architects announced the winners of the 2019 Institute Honor Awards for Architecture. Confluence Park, located in San Antonio, Texas, was one of nine projects located around the world to be recognized.

Confluence Park was designed by San Antonio-based firm, Lake|Flato.

According to architecture website, ArchDaily.com, the AIA Institute award program “celebrates the best contemporary architecture and highlights the many ways buildings and spaces can improve lives. AIA’s five-member jury selects submissions that demonstrate design achievement, including a sense of place and purpose, ecology, environmental sustainability and history.”

Lake|Flato was named Best Architecture Firm 2017 in Modern Luxury Interiors Texas Best of Design 2017 issue and one of the Ten Most Innovative Architecture Firms in World by Fast Company.

We can’t resist sharing a favorite photo of our collaboration with Lake|Flato, the Watuaga residence, a home that is rooted in its surroundings and demonstrates the high quality construction and craftsmanship that both Sebastian and Lake|Flato are known for.
